Online Classes

I offer live online classes over zoom. Check out the details below to see what classes I currently offer, and scroll to the bottom to see the calendar for the whole year.

These classes are perfect for homeschool students around the US who would like to learn new math topics in a collaborative, fun way!

Summer 2022 Online Classes

In general, the level 1 classes are geared more towards 3rd/4th grade level for elementary classes and 6th/7th grade level for middle school classes, and level 2 classes are geared more towards 4th/5th grade level for elementary classes and 7th/8th grade level for middle school classes. Because different students learn at different paces, you can sign up for whichever level you feel is best for your student, regardless of what age or grade level they are. For example, you could sign your 8 year old 3rd grader up for a level 2 class if you feel they have mastered the 3rd grade standards of that topic and are ready to do higher level problems. Or if you have a student who would be in 5th grade but you feel like they would benefit from going back over previous topics, you could sign them up for the level 1 class. That freedom to choose is one of the great things about homeschooling!

Elementary Online Math Classes
July

Level 1: Analyzing Data

When: Mondays 3:00-4:00 EST; 4 weeks; July 11 -August 1
Tuition: $40

This hour-long class will teach students how to collect categorical data (data that can be grouped into categories) and represent and interpret it using bar graphs, line plots, and frequency tables. This class will allow them to explore these concepts while working collaboratively with other students, and we will practice and solidify their understanding through hands-on activities and fun games. This class meets once a week for 4 weeks. There is a maximum of 10 students for this class.

Level 2: Analyzing Data

When: Tuesdays 4:00-5:00 EST; 4 weeks; July 5 – July 26
Tuition: $40

This hour-long class will teach students how to collect categorical and numerical data and represent and interpret it using a line graph using the x and y axis. They will also be able to solve one and two step problems using the data from the graph. This class will allow them to explore these concepts while working collaboratively with other students, and we will practice and solidify their understanding through hands-on activities and fun games. This class meets once a week for 4 weeks. There is a maximum of 10 students for this class.

When: Mondays 3:00-4:00 EST; 4 weeks; August 8 – August 29
Tuition: $40

This hour-long class will help students develop an understanding of angles and angle measurement. They will learn to measure and sketch angles in whole number degrees using a protractor and find unknown angles on a diagram in real world mathematical problems. They will also examine the properties of quadrilaterals. This class will allow them to explore these concepts while working collaboratively with other students, and we will practice and solidify their understanding through hands-on activities and fun games. This class meets once a week for 4 weeks. There is a maximum of 10 students for this class.

Level 2: Geometric Shapes

When: Tuesdays 4:00-5:00 EST; 4 weeks; August 9 – August 30
Tuition: $40

This hour-long class will teach students how to classify shapes based on lines and angles in two-dimensional figures. They will be able to draw and identify points, lines, line segments, rays, angles, and perpendicular and parallel lines, classify triangles, and recognize symmetry in two-dimensional figures. This class will allow them to explore these concepts while working collaboratively with other students, and we will practice and solidify their understanding through hands-on activities and fun games. This class meets once a week for 4 weeks. There is a maximum of 10 students for this class.
